A physical slider on the side cuts power to the mics at the silicon level. Not a software flag. Actual silence.

What if I forget to charge it?
CF-01 sleeps in 48 hours of standby clipped to a lanyard. The companion app pings you the night before a calendared event if charge is below 80 %. The dock tops it from empty to all-day in 35 minutes.
Is it always recording?
No. The mic preamp is wired to the trust LED and to the side mute slider. If the LED is dark, the mics are off, guaranteed by the board, not by software. Sessions only arm when you tap the front face.
Will my battery survive a four-day conference?
A full charge runs about twelve active hours, or roughly fifty conversations of typical length. Most users dock once at lunch and once overnight. The dock fast-charges to 80 % during a coffee break.
How does firmware update?
Over BLE from the companion app, in the background while the pendant is on the dock. Updates are signed, rolled back if a unit fails to boot, and changelogs ship inside the app.
What happens if my phone dies mid-conversation?
CF-01 keeps writing locally to its 8 GB on-board buffer, about 24 hours of audio. When the phone is back, the queue drains and lead cards generate as normal. Nothing is lost.
Does it survive a dropped lanyard or spilt coffee?
The shell is machined aluminium with a polycarbonate face, IP54 rated for splashes and dust, and tested through 1.2 m drops onto vinyl floor. We replace any unit that fails in the first year.
